The Amazing iPad

Like many people, I was a Windows user for many years and in particular I was a CorelDRAW user on a daily basis for a sign writing, art and illustration business. Which is why I have an interest in creative apps for the iPad Like ArtStudio. I switched over to the Mac when I got fed up of the constant hassle with the malware that invests the world of the PC and Windows. Since switching over to the Mac about six years ago, it didn’t take long for me to get to the stage where, wild horses couldn’t drag me back to Windows. I started off with a Mac mini, and soon moved on to an iMac and a MacBook, and another couple of iMacs. Of course as soon as the iPad was available to me, I wanted one.

I do spend quite a bit of time working with my iMac at a desk, just because I prefer to be sitting in a nice comfortable office chair with a large screen in front of me. The iPad will take its place in my computing life, when I am sitting on the sofa. A good example of how I use the iPad, would be if I wanted to keep an eye on Twitter, look at an e-mail or two, or look into the IMDB application on the iPad, to find the name of an actor or actress that is in a film I’m watching on television.

I will also have the iPad on my desk next to me, partly because I am writing about applications that are on the iPad, but also when I am running a useful application to do a job. You would think that with a 27 inch iMac with an extra screen next to it, I would have sufficient screen space to do all I need to do. Still, I also bring the iPad in to play alongside everything else.
