Which are the best Cool iPad Cases for your iPad?

We all want Cool iPad Cases for our iPad

With the proliferation of cases for the iPad and iPad 2, it can be awfully difficult to choose a cool iPad case, from all of the designer iPad cases out there. Quite a lot of the choice is down to personal preference, and how you use your iPad. Some cases will have a higher priority for the protection of the iPad, and some will have more of a priority in looking cool. So do you go for a skin type case, a soft case like the Apple iPad case, a hard case or do you go for the specialist iPad case, that perhaps turns the iPad into something like a laptop or notebook.
The Amazing iPad

There are so many designs available for the iPad cases, for example, if you are into Star Wars, you could have a Darth Vader style case, and then again maybe you just like flowers, and prefer to go for pretty. Whichever style case you go for, it is likely that you are making a statement about yourself at the same time as you are choosing a protective cover for your iPad.

Cool iPad Cases from ZaggMate

I particularly like the cases for the iPad from ZaggMate, they do have one which is a hard case, with a keyboard included. The keyboard that is included has special keys that are iPad specific and gives the iPad extra capabilities. Certainly there are cool iPad cases with a Bluetooth keyboard, many iPad users are able to type much more quickly, than by using the iPad on-screen keyboard. Mind you I have found that using the on-screen keyboard, can be quite quick when you consider that there is the predictive text available on the iPad.

The good thing about the silicon gel skin cover cases is that they are cheap to buy, they do a good job of protecting the case from scratches. Cool iPad cases made from silicone can give the iPad just enough bounce ability, if you happen to drop it. The silicon case doesn’t look quite as good as may be a leather carrying case, that is perhaps like a folio. Also if you’re using a silicon gel skin cover, you don’t get a built-in stand.

Remember too that there are differences between the iPad 1 cases and the cases for iPad 2.

A Folder Type Case For The iPad

Personally with my iPad I use the Apple case with it. I have seen some nice leather cases though that look very tasty indeed. You can get them in various colours so that you have some personalisation for your iPad. That is certainly a good idea if you are in a work place or where ever that there are a number of iPad users and you have to do something to stand out from the crowd.

There usually some way of the folder case to become a stand also. Good for getting a nice angle to type on when it is on the desk or for when you want it to stand upright so that you have the best case for iPad for you could watch a movie perhaps.

Hard Candy Cases Bubble Sleeve Case for Apple iPad 2 (also fits Apple iPad 1), Black is a case is more of a carrying case for iPad than the folder types. I think with this one the way you would use it is in bare format, possibly with a screen protector on the screen. When you get to where you plan to use the iPad you take out the iPad and put the case to one side. This one does have some good protective features that are good for when the iPad in in the case and being moved from place to place.
Are You A Hard Case Sort Of Person?
One of the things with a hards case for the iPad is that it is probably going to be heavier that the other sorts of cases. The trade off for that though is that you get the best protection. It is usually easier for the manufacturers to make some sort of stand mechanism that will work well with the case.

So there you have one possibility which is to buy a case that comes with a keyboard, but if you have an Apple Bluetooth keyboard already, you might like to look to see if you can find an iPad case or an iPad keyboard carrying case specifically for that keyboard. Clamcase iPad keyboard case When you buy a case for a keyboard, you want it so that the tech is protected and also that the keyboard doesn’t scratch the iPad in transit and it is a good idea if it is a case that doesn’t allow the keyboard to turn itself on while travelling. If the keyboard turns on when you’re travelling it is likely that it will drain the battery of the iPad. So let’s have a look at a couple of iPad keyboard cases.

ClamCase iPad Keyboard Case

ClamCase all-in-one Keyboard, Case and Stand for iPad (first generation)

Another possibility is a ZaggMate iPad keyboard case product called the ClamCase, which kind of turns your iPad into a small laptop or a netbook. The ClamCase is in two parts and the bottom part of it has all of the electronic bits of the keyboard. In the top part you can clip your iPad. There is a hinge which connects the two parts of the case into something that looks like a netbook.

A good thing about using a keyboard that is specially made for the iPod rather than the Apple Bluetooth keyboard is that it will come with a row of convenience keys above the numbers. This will add some useful features. There will be a home key, lock and search keys as well as volume controls, play, pause and fast forward.

I’m not sure how well and keyboard and iPad configurations like this would work because you are going to be constantly lifting your fingers from the keyboard to touch the screen to do things. There are some keys on the keyboard that will do things so you don’t have to touch the screen, Zaggmate keyboard case

Mounting your iPad Tablet

ThePadTab

Seems that the iPad on its on own is not such a good idea, it needs some support. There is the cover that comes from Apple that can be used as a stand also.

Then there is the PadTab and the way that this works is by sticking a special hook on whatever surface you want o hang it on and mounting plate that goes on the iPad that fits the hook that you have stuck to the fridge, door, wall. They sell a kit that lets you hang the iPad in 2 places and that is part of the goodness of this system. It is moveable yet strong. Industrial strength adhesive holds up your iPad safely and you have two of the hooks for putting in two different situations all you have to do it take your iPad with the connecting plate that is fixed to your iPad and slot it in. Easy.

I suppose you need to have a good think about where is going to be the best place, best height and best in terms of distance away from where you will be standing or sitting so that you get the best use of the device. As they say on their site, you just have to think about where you might put you iPad and need both hands for doing something else, like in the kitchen using a recipe application.

Convert the iPad into a NetBook hybrid

ipadlapdock

The iPad with its touch computer interface is not like a netbook, but Lapdock have had the bright idea to convert the iPad into a netbook with using a bluetooth keyboard in a special iPad case. The bluetooth keyboard side of things is not fully worked out yet but both Lapdock and Clamcase think it would be a good idea that with a hybrid Netbook iPad, the user will get the best of both worlds. What do you think is it a good idea for you and the way you expect to work with your iPad using a bluetooth keyboard with it. Or would you be better off with a docking station iPad.

I suppose there will be some dinosaurs that think it is vital to hang on to the past and the use of the keyboard rather than embrace the way of working with an Apple tablet on which it is designed for the fingers to do the walking. It may not be enough the get the Apple Keyboard dock and just use in certain occasions. Some people may prefer to have more to carry around with them. I personally don’t think it will be necessary.

The Hybrid Tablet Lives With Clamcase.png

I suppose one of the main factors will be the weight of the wrapper that is case and stand for the iPad. If it gets to be too heavy then you might well have a MacBook Pro in your computer bag. What you will have to ask yourself is “What problem does this iPad solution solve for me? You cold see this a middle ground while we are all in the process of adapting to the new world, game changing devices.
